JOB SUMMARY
The Materials Handler will support and arrange material handling and warehouse provisions for offshore operations in line with local and corporate directives to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of material to meet operational requirements.


JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Provide movement of materials and supply support in a timely, safe, and efficient manner, including loading/unloading cargo, housekeeping and assisting foreman in assembling or dismantling equipment using hand tools
  • Manage all materials receiving, storing and issuing to the rigs, including all systems interfaces, uploads and entries required
  • Provide supplies on an as needed basis for onshore and rig personnel
  • Arrange for repair and assembly of materials and parts
  • Compile and maintain computerized records.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential

  •  Working knowledge of offshore oil exploration industry
  • Fundamental knowledge of materials receiving, handling and issuing, including storage principals and preservation.
  • Ability to use hand tools & power tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and guidance from foreman or senior workers
  • Microsoft Office Suite programs

Desired

  •  DOT Hazardous Material training in Accordance with 40 CFR 172.704
  • Forklift, Rigging and Slinging (API RP2D)
  • HAZWOPER Training

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements

  •  High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Inventory or Warehouse Management
  • High awareness and strong commitment to safety for self and others
  • Ability to communicate both timely and effectively while following detailed instructions
  • Results oriented, task oriented

Preferred

  •  Oil & Gas industry experience
