JOB SUMMARY
Overall objective of the role is to be a visible and engaged champion of the Seadrill’s Task Process (PIMED - Plan, Identify, Manage, Execute & Debrief) to drive Safe, Efficient and Reliable Operations.

The focus of the role is to support and verify:
The application of the Task Process and Seadrill’s Safety Tools.
Implementation of Seadrill’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements.
Rig operations via visible, proactive and engaged HSE coaching.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote Occupational Health & Wellbeing:
Act as a visible safety leader.
Champion the HSE Pillars; PIMED, Seadrill Safe Actions, Big 5, Human Factors, Environmental Stewardship.
Support the provision of health and wellbeing within the area operations.
Major Accident Hazard (MAH) Management:
Support the Area HSE Manager to ensure the Area Incident management Plan (IMP) and AREA IMT is trained in response.
Monitor Rig emergency response plans (ERPs) are known and drilled at rig and Area level.
Maintain CIM for the IMT and being used correctly use as delegated.
HSEQ Advice and Support:
Provide consistent and accurate HSEQ advice to Onshore & Offshore management teams.
Produce regional HSEQ performance statistics, identify trends, and take proactive initiatives to improve performance.
Collaboration and Client Support:
Attend Client HSEQ Forums and provide lessons learned feedback.
Ensure HSE Bridging documents are in place and current.
Engage with HSE teams of Customer and Customer Service Providers
HSEQ Communications & HSE Performance Monitoring:
Produce and communicate HSEQ alerts following incidents investigation and IRB to share lessons learned.
Support HSE performance data-led review of Red Rig Recovery plans to ensure root cause issues have been addressed by the plan, and actively support implementation of Red Rig Recovery Plans

Incident Investigations:
Ensure all events are reported correctly in Synergi.
Conduct HSE investigations in Area, acting as Lead Investigator as required.

HSEQ Monitoring:
Conduct regular rig visits to support rig management team and OHSEAs.
Monitor RVs and ODVs by OHSEAs to ensure quality verifications and ensure timely closure of findings if any.

HSE Regulations
Maintain detailed knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements in the area of operations.
Participate (where appropriate) in HSE regulatory audits and close-out meetings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Offshore HSE or 7 Years’ Experience in Onshore HSE related field outside of drilling industry
Must possess strong analytical skills and be able to confidently communicate
Team player and must aim to continually monitor and promote all core HSE processes
Qualified and proficient in incident investigation and root cause identification processes
Proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel…. etc.)
Effectively communicate message in either written and verbal form
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Maintain currency of industry initiatives impacting Seadrill operations (e.g., IADC, DROPS, HPOG…)
Knowledge and understanding of applicable HSE regulatory requirements
Familiarity with Flag and Coastal State requirements and applicable international regulations (ex. ISM, IMO…etc.).

Governance and career progression:
Holds a NEBOSH Diploma in OH&S or equivalent HSE certification
Completion of Seadrill Training Matrix and Competence Matrices
Participation on audit team with Company Auditor on HSE Compliance Audit, competence verified by Company Audit Team member
To be formally identified on a succession plan of being capable for promotion
Active Personal Development Plan



Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
BOSIET, Offshore survival training and other training as required by the Area assigned
NEBOSH International General Certificate in OH&S or equivalent HSE certification

Preferred
Higher education qualification in HSE/Engineering or Risk Management discipline
NEBOSH Diploma in OH&S or equivalent HSE certification
Ability to speak other languages
