JOB TITLE:    Corporate Catalog Manager 

 

REPORTING TO:     Director of Global Sourcing

 

LOCATION: Houston        

 

1.1 ROLE SUMMARY

 

The Corporate Catalog Manager Is responsible for the overall management and administration of the Company's internal supply chain catalog utilized for ordering parts and equipment as well as supporting the rigs maintenance system database. Reporting to the Director of Global Sourcing, this role will act as the definitive source of knowledge, technique, and leadership that will support the organizational vision and strategic direction of creating a reliable tool and sound processes which improves the overall requisition to order execution. Providing leadership to a team of up to 4 persons which is expected to drive continuous optimization of processes that ensure "best in class" product is developed and maintained.

1.2 QHSE

 

Responsible for/ensure:

  • Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct and Fight Against Corruption

  • Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements

  • Non-compliances are promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisor

  • All relevant governing documents are revised as and when required

  • Good and clear communications with all involved parties

  • Compliance with the standard for tidiness and cleanness.

  • Training and competence assessments as assigned and/or required.

  • Meeting activities in a proactive and constructive manner.

 

1.3 JOB SPECIFIC

 

Responsible for/ensure:

  • Implementation of a data management strategy that standardizes the global catalog and optimizes global supply chain.

  • Promotes enhancements to existing ERP catalog that ensure only relevant ICN's (Internal Catalog Number) populate the catalog and redundant ICN's identified and properly managed in the system.

  • Develops tools and KPI's to measure and drive the increased utilization of global catalog

  • Ensure catalog data integrity with regards to pricing and vendor details

  • Ensure team and individual goals and objectives are clearly defined that support the overall department and corporation’s strategic initiatives as it relates to the improvement of the Global Supply Chain Catalog enhancements and long term maintenance

  • Ensures the team works closely with stakeholders and shares best practices with regards to catalog management Mentors colleagues with problem resolution and guidance as required

  • Drives staff development through active engagement, OTJ training opportunities and frequent coaching

  • Effectively executes change management processes when required

  • Actively participate in projects or process optimization initiatives offering suggestions or constructive feedback that will improve outcome

  • Prepares as required reports and presentations to stakeholders and management

  • Coordinate and lead supplier meetings as required

  • Ensure all actions are in accordance with Seadrill's corporate policies and procedures

     

1.4 EQUIPMENT & SYSTEMS

 

Responsible for/ensure:

  • Catalog Repository is properly maintained to provide greatest level of optimization and reliability to the organization

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced level

  • Collaborate with category Manager to ensure most updated and accurate pricing is uploaded in the ERP system

  • Ensure most accurate contract data is made available to Management and Stakeholders

     

 

1.5 AUTHORITY

 

  • As per Corporate and Regional specific Delegation of Authority matrices

     

1.6 QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Leadership skills with ability to engage and motivate teams

  • Knowledge of IFS preferred but not pre-requisite

  • Drilling Equipment knowledge

  • Experience managing complex ERP systems and product catalogs 

  • Careful attention to detail, always ensuring data accuracy

  • Self-starter, embraces empowerment and works with since of urgency Identify and prioritize critical task Knowledge of Compliance regulations inclusive of USFCPA, SOX and Export Compliance

  • RICEF (Reports, Interface, Conversion, Enhancement & Forms) development

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field required

  • 5+ years with proven management experience in Supply Chain or related role driving continuous optimization in a rapid paced environment

  • Experience in ERP implementation, supporting Purchase to Pay process

2.5 OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 

Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background Check
