JOB TITLE:                          Senior Treasury Analyst

 

REPORTING TO:               Assistant Group Treasurer

 

LOCATION:                        Onshore - London

 

1.1 ROLE SUMMARY

 

Having gone through a significant period of change which is set to continue for the next 6-12 months, our Treasury team is looking for a Senior Treasury Analyst, preferably with experience of working within an international Treasury function.

The Senior Treasury Analyst will be responsible for loan administration for Seadrill’s consolidated debt portfolio totaling approximately $13n.  In addition, providing support in the management of debt for related parties and/or joint ventures. This activity includes monitoring the timing and settlement of interest and instalment payments, supporting the calculation of covenants and issuing compliance certificates to lenders, as well as monitoring and settling derivatives.

This role is also expected to manage short-term cash forecasting for Group companies, manage the day to day settlement of Treasury payments and intercompany funding, managing access to bank accounts for the Group, managing the issuance of bank guarantees, inputting data into the Treasury Management System (currently IT2) related to loans and derivatives, ensuring compliance with Treasury related quarterly SOX controls, and supporting the Treasury team with other ad hoc tasks including periodic reporting.

The Senior Treasury Analyst will also be expected to provide support to various projects or initiatives within the Treasury team including the implementation of a new Treasury Management System and the continued development of the short-term Group cash forecasting.

 

1.2 JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Managing cash forecasting for certain Group companies and providing support to the continued development of short-term Group cash forecasting process.

  • Managing the Groups bank account access and signatory controls in continued efforts to centralise this and providing support to cash management bank relationships.

  • Monitoring and managing settlements related to the Group’s debt and derivative portfolio

  • Monitoring and managing intercompany funding requirements for various group companies, ensuring loans are drawn in time to meet cash flow needs, and interest is settled in a timely manner.

  • Managing the issuance of bank guarantees across the Group, which includes bid bonds, performance and customs guarantees, and reporting this on a monthly basis.

  • Providing support to colleagues in the calculation of Group covenants and managing the issuance of compliance certificates to lenders on a quarterly basis.

  • Providing support to colleagues in managing Joint Venture relationships including monitoring related party loans, preparation of financial covenants and review of financial forecasts.

  • Preparing and reporting on debt and derivative positions to Financial Reporting team on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Managing treasury settlements for the Group including initiating payments, assisting with internal funding across the Group Management of the settlement and confirmation process for Treasury transactions.

  • Preparing relevant quarterly SOX controls and contribute to compliance reporting requirements.

  • Taking lead with regard to weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting requirements, including the management of the Treasury Management System (currently IT2), which involves entering, reviewing and verifying data relating to financial instruments and loans.

  • Actively contributing to the development of all Treasury policies, ensuring overall adherence to Group policies and procedures

  • Assisting with any other ad-hoc administrative or project work as requested.

  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline preferred

  • AMCT professional qualification is an advantage or commitment to work towards achieving this is expected in this role

 

Text Box: 2.1	KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • 3 or 4 years’ experience in a Treasury role preferably with experience of debt instruments and cash forecasting

  • Experience within a fast pace international treasury function is an advantage

  • Good user knowledge of banking platforms and treasury settlements/payments

  • Good knowledge of Excel and financial modelling
