Role Objective

The Information security team uses a wide variety of and Information Security, technical and communication skills to proactively help the business differentiate its services within the market.

The role of the Risk and Compliance Analyst is to provide day-to-day risk tracking, operate the first line compliance testing and to co-ordinate and manage all external compliance activities (e.g. Internal and external audits).

The successful candidate will believe that Information Security is an enabler for a business and not a blocker, they will have the skill to explain why complying with the security policy is important to the business.

Principle accountabilities and Responsibilities

Developing Capability and Performance:

· Managing the Risk Register: Act as the primary point of contact for anyone wishing to raise a new risk

· Drive the remediation of risks: Ensure risk are assessed and remediation actions are assigned to individuals, and report on progress

· Conduct the Monthly and quarterly compliance tests

· Arrange then manage the internal and external Audits, including evidence gathering and remediation of findings.

Essentials

Background and Skills:

· Degree qualified.

· Excellent communication skills, relationship building and interpersonal skills.

· An appreciation of what risk is and how it can be handled

· Good understanding of IT

· Self-motivated and Strong ownership of tasks and issues through to resolution (must demonstrate tenacity and persistence).

· Able to multi-task and prioritise workload and a strong capability to manage and deliver multiple engagements simultaneously.

· Willing ness to continue to study Information Security

 

Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge:

· High level of skill with Microsoft Excel

Desirables

Qualifications:

· BSc or MSc degree in Information Security.

· ISO27001 – Information Security Management System – Lead Auditor.

· CISA – Certified Information Security Auditor.

· Willing to complete a MSc in Information Security.
