Internal Auditor

Chiswick, London with international travel

Using groundbreaking technology, Seadrill is one of the world’s most modern offshore deepwater drilling companies. Operating in 15 countries across five continents, we employ some 5,000 people representing 65 nationalities.

As an international/listed company, we have a unique opportunity for a part-qualified Internal Auditor to join our team and make a visible impact as the department continues to develop. That’s because you will assist in the planning and performance of a huge scope of audit projects around the world, ranging from operations to compliance and Sarbanes Oxley. Furthermore, you will assess the effectiveness of internal controls (including financial reporting controls) across the organisation and assist in risk assessments, drafting recommendations for areas that need improvement and presenting your findings to management audiences. It’s a role that has huge scope to develop, and you will be a vibrant force in the team, challenging when appropriate and constantly seeking opportunities to drive our progress.

We’re looking for someone who is ready to hit the ground running, and who isn’t afraid to embrace change, such as our investment in Data Science. We’ll give you the opportunity and encouragement to develop your interests in auditing, including plenty of support as you become fully qualified. As a small team, you’ll have the chance to make your mark early on, so Big 4 and/or US listed company experience would be an additional bonus.

To thrive in this vibrant position, you’ll need to have the indefinite right to stay and work in the UK, and you’ll be excited about the scope for international travel (around eight weeks per annum) that the role brings. You’ll be a proactive team-player and experience of Data Mining and Predictive Analytics would be advantageous. Working towards a professional qualification such as CPA, CIA, CISA or an accountancy certification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, you’ll need one to three years’ experience of successfully completing audits. You will also have outstanding time-management, analytical and problem-solving skills. If you have knowledge of the gas and oil industry that would be an added benefit, but what’s more important is your can-do attitude and your enthusiasm for going above and beyond regular auditing duties.

If that sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, then we’ve got the perfect role for you. We’re passionate about developing your career to its fullest capabilities, so get in touch and let us know how we can explore your potential together.
