JOB TITLE:                HR Administrator Payroll

 

REPORTING TO:     HR Advisor- HRIS and Payroll

 

LOCATION:           Onshore

 

1.1 ROLE SUMMARY

 

Responsible for the coordination and administration of payroll for US non-exempt staff.

 

1.3 QHSE

 

Responsible for/ensure:

  • Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct and Fight Against Corruption.

  • Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements.

  • Non-compliances are promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisor.

  • The standard for tidiness and cleanness is adhered to.

  • Good and clear communications with all involved parties.

     

1.4 JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Coordinate and ensure the timely payment of the local US weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, to include computation of required deductions, preparation and verification of payroll(s) and maintenance of records and reports.

  • Prepare and audit preview payroll reports each payroll period prior to processing.

  • Audit final ADP management report totals against preview register totals and investigate/document discrepancies.

  • Review and process all prorated payroll dates resulting from new hires, terminations, promotions, demotions, and leave of absences.

  • Ensure employee benefits and deductions are properly input, calculated and taxed.

  • Responsible for ensuring SOX compliance is maintained each payroll run. Responsible for maintenance of accurate SOX records.

  • Works with internal and external auditors to complete SOX audit requirements.

  • Act as the first line of contact for all employee wage and tax inquiries.

  • Works with legal counsel to review all garnishments prior to setup.

  • Follow retention guidelines for all federal and state forms.

  • Maintain payroll records by filing supporting documentation for all edits and adjustments at the end of each payroll period.

  • Prepare annual W-2 forms, annual employee earnings statements and reports.

  • Backup processor to the semi-monthly, Canada and expat shadow payrolls when needed.

  • Serves as backup to the benefits department directing employee questions, reviewing vendor files.

  • May work in other areas of Human Resources or projects as requested.

  • Reporting as needed.

 

1.5 EQUIPMENT & SYSTEMS

 

  • At least 2 years experience with ADP Workforce Now.

  • Prior experience with Oracle HRMS or other ERP system required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP and PIVOT tables) and Outlook.

                                                                                                 

     

1.6 AUTHORITY

 

  • Works under direction of the payroll/hris supervisor and may receive direction from the payroll specialist.

     

1.7 QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • 2+ years progressive payroll experience                                                                                                         

  • Prefer at least 1 year offshore drilling industry experience         

  • Exceptional customer service skills via phone and email                                                                                

  • Multi-state payroll processing experience                                                                                                                 

  • Position requires a high degree of professionalism and ability to maintain strict confidentiality Excellent organizational skills.

  • Able to prioritize workload in a fast paced environment with changing deadlines

  • Must be detail oriented                                                                                      

     

1.8 OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Must pass Drug Screen and Background Check.
