Coordinate and ensure the timely payment of the local US weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, to include computation of required deductions, preparation and verification of payroll(s) and maintenance of records and reports.
Prepare and audit preview payroll reports each payroll period prior to processing.
Audit final ADP management report totals against preview register totals and investigate/document discrepancies.
Review and process all prorated payroll dates resulting from new hires, terminations, promotions, demotions, and leave of absences.
Ensure employee benefits and deductions are properly input, calculated and taxed.
Responsible for ensuring SOX compliance is maintained each payroll run. Responsible for maintenance of accurate SOX records.
Works with internal and external auditors to complete SOX audit requirements.
Act as the first line of contact for all employee wage and tax inquiries.
Works with legal counsel to review all garnishments prior to setup.
Follow retention guidelines for all federal and state forms.
Maintain payroll records by filing supporting documentation for all edits and adjustments at the end of each payroll period.
Prepare annual W-2 forms, annual employee earnings statements and reports.
Backup processor to the semi-monthly, Canada and expat shadow payrolls when needed.
Serves as backup to the benefits department directing employee questions, reviewing vendor files.
May work in other areas of Human Resources or projects as requested.
Reporting as needed.
