Set the standards that others will follow.
Listed on both the New York Stock Exchange and the Oslo Stock Exchange, Seadrill is proud to be one of the world’s leading offshore drilling contractors. Staffed by 5,000 skilled employees from 65 nationalities, based in 15 countries around the world, our teams share our commitment to safely extracting oil and gas, providing cost-effective supplies for our customers.
It’s a particularly positive and exciting time to join us as we recently received a $1 billion dollar investment in the business. This brand new role has been created due to the merging of external group reporting and our management reporting team and is part of a re-structure of our Group accounting and finance function.
Ownership and development of internal management reports for executive management and the Board for Seadrill Limited, Seadrill Partners and certain subsidiaries/joint ventures is what’s required here. You’ll also focus on considering group accounting policies and resolving judgemental issues for operational (to EBITDA) P&L, balance sheet and cash flow lines and act as a key point of contact for all management reporting matters. Along the way, you’ll work closely with the Group Technical Accounting Manager and External Reporting team, as well as teams like commercial, tax and treasury in order to compile the monthly management reporting.
To succeed, you’ll need strong management reporting experience that has included making recommendations to senior management. A good understanding of accounting practices and procedures in a large multinational listed group is important too, with knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry a bonus. And, because ours is a high-pressure industry, you’ll need resilience and the ability to cope with change in a faced paced environment, together with excellent decision-making and analytical skills. In return, you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on improving management reporting for the business.
If this sounds like you and you want to explore this exciting opportunity, please get in touch.
