JOB TITLE:                QHSE Advisor   

 

REPORTING TO:     QHSE Manager

 

LOCATION:           Onshore

 

1.1 ROLE SUMMARY

 

Assist with coordination of the Company QHSE Management System onshore. Partner with the Rig Managers, OIMs and Offshore Safety Technicians to provide a link between Onshore QHSE and Offshore workforce.

 

1.3 QHSE

 

Responsible for/ensure:

  • Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct and Fight Against Corruption.

  • Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements.

  • Non-compliances are promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisor.

  • The standard for tidiness and cleanness is adhered to.

  • Good and clear communications with all involved parties.

     

1.4 JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Promote and participate in the Company Processes: TBRA, OBS, SYNERGI

  • Promote the awareness, training and use of the Company Safety Tools.

  • Promote 100% Conformity with the Company QHSE Management System

  • Keep a good working relationship with others departments, third parties and Client representative.

  • Assist QHSE Manager when requested.

  • Aim to continually monitor and promote all core HSE processes to Offshore Crew and Onshore Rig Management.

  • Promote the QHSE policies and procedures onshore, offshore, dry docks and during projects.

  • Provide progress analysis of accidents conducted by the Leaders/Safety Officers and conduct analysis of serious accidents when requested by the QHSE Manager.

  • Support the Rig Managers and Rig Technical Leaders on QHSE issues, including the Client and Authorities when needed.

  • Coordinate issues regarding Quality, Safety, Legislation, Environmental Legislation and Protection in the designated area.

  • Participate in the planning of QHSE Audits on the Company Installations and Third Parties.

  • Assist and give support to the Area Manager on the local Emergency Response Plan

  • Regularly Embark on the Rigs to check ISM conformities and QHSE processes and report the results to the QHSE and Rig Managers.

  • Assist the Rig Managers on QHSE issues by being in contact with the Client and Authorities when requested.

  • Monitor procedures and QHSE requests related to onshore personal and report to the QHSE Manager.

  • Assist the Rig and QHSE Managers on the purposes of the annual QHSE goals.

  • Promote Offshore Trainings as per QHSE Manager requests

  • Participate and promote QHSE campaigns onshore and offshore

  • Assist the HR department with technical information about mandatory safety trainings for onshore and offshore employees.

  • Participate in meetings promoted by the Client: RAC meetings, Investigation meetings, etc.

  • Coordinate the Induction Program with the HR department for new Seadrill employees

  • Partner with Client HSE and Seadrill Rig Management to set the highest standard for operations excellence in HSE.

 

1.5 EQUIPMENT & SYSTEMS

 

  • Must have expertise and knowledge in the proper planning of work with the identification of risks and unsafe hazards in relation to offshore operations.

     

1.6 AUTHORITY

 

  • As per Corporate and Regional Specific Delegation of Authority matrices.

     

1.7 QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Valid Safety Technician Register or Equivalent International Certificate

  • 5+ years’ experience in QHSE related field                                                                 

  • Must be willing to spend 25% of time offshore.

  • Experience performing or participating in Audits

  • Certificates in ISM, ISPS, and ISO environmental training preferred.

  • Recognized external certificates as applicable to position (i.e. NEBOSH, COSS)

  • Self-starter with proven problem solving ability.

  • Team oriented and capable of influencing the behavior of others.

  • Strong observational, analytical and presentation skills.

  • Must possess the expertise and knowledge of how to coach people in the proper planning of work with the identification of risks and unsafe hazards.

  • Very strong in Excel and data analysis.

  • Kelvin Topset Lead Investigator Certified

1.8 OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 

Must pass Drug Screen and Background Check.
