Assistant Company Secretary
c£50,000 pa dependent on experience Chiswick, London
Using groundbreaking technology, Seadrill is one of the world’s most modern offshore deepwater drilling companies. Operating in 15 countries across five continents, we employ some 5,000 people representing 65 nationalities. This is your chance to gain valuable expertise as you continue building your CoSec experience.
Working closely with, and supporting, the Company Secretary, you’ll play a key role in our secretariat in delivering a smooth and efficient service to Boards and Directors across Seadrill’s global jurisdictions.
Providing support to group functions and regional businesses, you’ll continually improve our information systems and maintain our corporate database. As adept at building relationships as you are at confidently managing various stakeholders, you’ll combine an appetite for ‘getting the job done’ with the self-assurance to challenge the status quo. As well as managing corporate information, you’ll bring your attention to detail to bear with the production of Board packs and good all-round company secretarial practice.
We’ll need you to make an immediate impact. So, you should be a solutions focused individual with an enviable mix of curiosity and tenacity – proactively looking to solve problems. Extremely comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a lack of formal structure, you’ll be hands-on and entrepreneurial in approach, whilst also bringing a pragmatic mindset to your work. A working knowledge of Blueprint is also required.
We’re looking for an ICSA qualified individual who is committed to building their skills and advancing their career specifically in the CoSec arena. With around two years’ experience gained in at least one CoSec department, ideally in a complex organisation, you’ll relish exposure to the full range of CoSec requirements in a global organisation that is a leader in its industry.
