JOB TITLE:                Global Mobility & Compensation Manager

 

REPORTING TO:     Head of Compensation & Benefits

 

LOCATION:           Chiswick, London

 

1. ROLE SUMMARY

With about 20% of our employees being internationally mobile, global mobility is a core and strategic topic at Seadrill. Reporting to the Head of Compensation and Benefits, The Global Mobility and Compensation Manager will play a key role in leading the mobility compensation programmes and setting them up for success.

The role will also support broader Compensation activities within the team.

 

2. JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Global Mobility:

  • Lead the development and enhancement of Global Mobility compensation policies and framework for international assignments and establishment of new locations

    • Review and analyze compensation competitiveness and efficiency in alignment with HR and talent strategy

    • Propose simplifications, changes, improvements with clear cost estimates

    • Develop recommendations and drive process standardization

  • Business Partner with Seadrill’s global HR offices, Global Employment Company and HR Shared Service Center to be their focal point for global mobility compensation questions

  • Advise on expatriate policy for all aspects of the lifecycle

  • Case management of international compensation packages

  • Build HR community education on Global Mobility and coach them to have quality and compliant conversations with their stakeholders

  • Manage International benefits plans.

     

Compensation:

  • Own compensation surveys and obtain relevant compensation data from participation in external compensation surveys and through internal market intelligence gathering.

  • Analyze benchmark data and use it to proactively recommend changes to compensation where needed.

  • Develop and maintain compensation matrices for onshore and offshore employees globally

  • Participate to key annual compensation processes, including Performance Bonus and Salary Review

  • Assist with equity program administration

  • Assist with other ad hoc mobility & reward projects.

     

 

3. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

  • An experienced global mobility professional with robust technical knowledge and expertise across the full range of mobility disciplines (tax, immigration, costing, etc), gained through managing small to medium sized in-house programmes and/or advising on small to medium programmes

  • Demonstrated prior success in leading, building and developing International Mobility policies with a strong focus on customer service, operational excellence and standardization of approach

  • Ideally 1st experience in Global Mobility consulting and an in-house global mobility role

  • Ability to work both at a strategic and a pragmatic operational level

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

  • BA or Masters within the fields of HR or Finance desirable.
