1.0 CORPORATE REQUIREMENTS

 

JOB TITLE:                  Catalog Advisor          

 

REPORTING TO:          Catalog Supervisor  

 

LOCATION:                  Houston, Texas

 

1.1 ROLE SUMMARY

 

The Catalog Team members are responsible for the maintenance of the global item catalogue, which consists of:

  • Responding to email correspondence
  • Review new ICN (internal catalog number) requests
  • Support of Fixed Price Agreement (FPA) maintenance and Rig Activations
  • Cooperation/Coordination with catalog team members
  • Support Offshore Material Administrators (OMAs)
  • Research/report creation to support supervisor and executives

 

1.2 QHSE

 

Responsible for/ensure:

·         Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct

·         Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements

·         Compliance with Seadrill training, certification and competence requirements

·         Non-compliances to Corporate policies are promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisor

·         All relevant governing documents are revised as and when required

·         Training and competence assessments as assigned and/or required are perform

·         Good and clear communications with all involved parties

 

1.3 JOB SPECIFIC

 

Responsible for/ensure:

·         The standardization, consolidation and accuracy of our item catalog.

·         Timeliness and quality of responses to support requests from the business (i.e. OMAs)

·         Promotion of enhancements to existing catalog entries to ensures only relevant ICNs populate the catalog and redundant ICN's are identified and properly removed from the system.

·         Catalog data integrity with regards to pricing and manufacturer/vendor details.

·         Newly requested items are setup properly and do NOT already exist in the catalog.

·         Work closely with the Technical team to define and associate the correct ICNs with work orders for preventative maintenance.

·         Ensure individual goals and objectives are clearly defined and support the overall supply chain and corporate strategic initiatives as they relate to the catalog.

·         Work closely with stakeholders and sharing best practices with regards to catalog.

·         Proper research and review has been conducted on all items prior to activation.

·         Proper documentation of item status changes in order to maintain adequate traceability.

·         Change management processes are effectively executed when required.

·         Actively participate in projects or process optimization initiatives offering suggestions or constructive feedback that will improve outcome.

·         All applicable reports and logs as required by the supervisor are maintained.

·         Other duties are performed as and when required and/or directed by his/her direct supervisor.

 

1.4 EQUIPMENT & SYSTEMS

 

Responsible for/ensure:

·         Catalog repository is properly maintained to provide greatest level of optimization and reliability to the organization.

·         Working knowledge of materials used in the drilling industry.

·         Proficient computer skills, competency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with material management and/or ERP systems.

·         Comprehensive knowledge of Maximo functionality is a plus.

 

1.5 AUTHORITY

 

·         As per Corporate and Regional specific Delegation of Authority matrices

 

1.6 QUALIFICATIONS

 

·         Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, or related field required

·         Drilling industry knowledge and experience is preferred but not required

·         Knowledge and experience with Maximo is a plus

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

·         Institute for Supply Management CPM or CPSM or equivalent preferred but not required

·         Product knowledge of drilling equipment

·         Experience managing complex ERP systems and product catalogs

·         Stake holder management

·         Integrity and Honesty

·         Ability to multi-task

·         Quality Assurance and Risk Management processes

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Careful attention to detail, always ensuring data accuracy

·         Self starter, embraces empowerment and works with since of urgency identify and prioritize critical task

·         Team Player
