This position will join a vibrant and professional accounting centre in Liverpool that has global accounting responsibility for the Seadrill Group Legal Entities.


The Assistant Cashflow Accountant will form part of a small team in the Centre delivering the regular cashflow forecast reporting.  The objective of the role is to ensure that the banking information that underpins the forecast is accurate and reliable by regular reconciliation of the bank statements as well as validation and preparation of the other key accounting balances that contribute to the forecast. 


The role holder will be expected to contribute to both the cashflow deliverables and the wider accounting centre’s activities as they gain in experience.


Seadrill maintains a comprehensive professional accounting training and development programme and will offer professional training support to the right candidate




  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation (BSR) preparation
  • Intercompany review and reconciliation
  • Journal preparation
  • Provide support to the Cashflow team on the regular reporting and deliverables including stakeholder support and ad hoc queries:
  • 13 week cashflow model
  • 5 year long term cashflow model
  • Cashflow to forecast reporting
  • Statutory audit support and review as necessary involving the cashflow reporting

  • Ability to work with numbers including strong analytical skills, enjoys interpreting data and comfortable with explaining a narrative on data

  • Experience in Accounting Specific role either full time or holiday role
  • Experience working with Oracle and Hyperion

  • Experience in a Shared Services environment




Minimum Requirements

BSc or BA at 2(i) or above



  • Educational background in Maths or Science related disciplines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Comfortable with writing and presenting information using a range of different software.
