YOUR ROLE

 

As the Financial Accountant, you’ll be expected to assist the timely and accurate preparation of Seadrill’s profit and loss, balance sheet and phased financial reports. 

 

You will be the focal point of contact for the Rig Controller in their respective region for banking and IC receipting queries. The role will mainly involve ownership of at least one office overhead with assigned Legal Entities, preparing both the P&L results (KPI) and bank reconciliations. Other duties include:  

 

 

  • Provide support to Regional Accountants to prepare Phased Financials for assigned Legal Entities 
  • P&L delivered within region expectation 
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) delivery 
  • ARM preparation and review for assigned Legal Entities 
  • Journal / AGIS preparation 
  • Non- PO AP Approval 
  • Intercompany review and reconciliation 
  • Bank Reconciliations for regional accounts 
  • Statutory audit support and review for regional entities 
  • Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted accounting policies and procedures and are reported within the deadline

What you’ll need to apply 

 

Although you don’t need to be a Qualified Accountant to be considered for this vacancy, you should have been working in an Accounting type role for at least one year. The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced public company shared services environment and prioritise your own workload are essential to this position. You’ll also need experience of using a global ERP system and have experience of cash book accounting for Africa and Middle East. 

 

It would be desirable if you have previously used Oracle/Hyperion and have experience of working with diverse regional teams.
