JOB SUMMARY

 

This position will join a vibrant and professional accounting centre in Liverpool that has global accounting responsibility for the Seadrill Group Legal Entities.

 

The Cashflow Accountant will form part of a small team in the Centre delivering the regular cashflow forecast reporting.  The objective of the role is to ensure that the banking information that underpins the forecast is accurate and reliable by regular reconciliation of the bank statements as well as validation and preparation of the other key accounting balances that contribute to the forecast. 

 

The role holder will be expected to contribute to both the cashflow deliverables and the wider accounting centre’s activities as they gain in experience.

 

Seadrill maintains a comprehensive professional accounting training and development programme and will offer professional training support to the right candidate.

 

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Preparation of regular and adhoc cashflow reporting
  • Bank Reconciliations preparation and review
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation (BSR) preparation and review
  • Intercompany review and reconciliation
  • Journal preparation
  • Provide support to the Cashflow team on the regular reporting and deliverables including stakeholder support and ad hoc queries:
  • 13 week cashflow model
  • 5 year long term cashflow model
  • Cashflow to forecast reporting
  • Statutory audit support and review as necessary involving the cashflow reporting
  • Accounting ownership and maintenance for legal entities as part of broader SSC responsibilities:
    •  Phased Financials for assigned Legal Entities
    • P&L delivered within region expectations
    • Service Level Agreement (SLA) delivery
    • ARM preparation and review for assigned Legal Entities
    • Journal / AGIS preparation
    • Non PO Approval
    • Tax Pack preparation and liaison with Tax team
    • Intercompany review and reconciliation
    • Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted accounting policies/ procedures and are reported with the deadline.

Essential

  • Ability to work with numbers including strong analytical skills, enjoys interpreting data and comfortable with explaining a narrative on data

  • Possesses experience and understand of statutory reporting requirements.

  • Ability to work under pressure. 

 

Desired

  • Experience in a shared services and global accounting environments.
  • Experience in Accounting Specific role either full time or holiday role
  • Experience working with Oracle and Hyperion
  • Experience of working with diverse regional teams
  • Working knowledge of Accounting Standards, especially US GAAP / IFRS
  • Experience in Oil Field Services (preferably within the drilling sector) 

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Requirements

BSc or BA at 2(i) or above

Part or full qualification in professional accounting qualification
