JOB SUMMARY

 The Maintenance Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring the enterprise asset management (EAM) system, Maximo, is implemented in a standardized manner across the fleet.  This includes ensuring corporate and regulatory requirements are adhered to on each rig, providing technical support and training to the onshore and offshore team members when required, and monitoring performance of the maintenance system and recommending improvements when issues are identified.


JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and ensure compliance with current Seadrill maintenance policies and objectives.
  • Ensure all rigs maintain and operate the EAM efficiently and within the company directives, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor maintenance results from rigs. Assist rig teams in development of optimized maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborates with corporate and operations teams to provide EAM technical support both onshore and offshore as required.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts regarding technical queries and compliance with latest maintenance requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with the latest maintenance requirements as set forth by regulatory and class authorities.
  • Researches and implements reliability and efficiency improvements in a consistent and standardized manner across the fleet.
  • Provides training in maintenance policies, processes, and the use of the enterprise asset management system to both onshore and offshore personnel.
  • Maintain all relevant documentation and certifications, including relevant medicals, to allow for unrestricted travel to all offices and offshore assets as required by direct supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience (military or commercial) in a technical maintenance environment; offshore experience with maintenance operations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise maintenance systems and proven experience in hands on maintenance operations.
  • High level of relevant technical knowledge
  • Is highly organized, analytical, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to liaise at a high level with drilling units’ maintenance teams and unit management.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing.
  • Technical documentation report writing and audit skills.
  • Good hands-on skills and ability to teach and train others.
  • Managerial/administrative skills to effectively execute role.
  • The ability to communicate with personnel at various levels.
  • Personal Computer skills, including basic e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet applications, and project management software.

Desired

  • Excellent understanding of Maximo or similar asset management systems.
  • Recent or imminent veteran of US Military service.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen, or authorized to work lawfully in the United States, without sponsorship from Seadrill.
  • Must be able and willing to work regularly from Seadrill’s Houston office location during typical and customary business hours.
  • Flexible to travel offshore as required in any country Seadrill operates.
  • Must pass Drug Screen and Background Check.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering/technical field
  • Demonstrated history of working effectively in various offshore marine/subsea settings in the naval sector, and/or oilfield & energy industry.
